Industrial Electrical Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrical Estimator to join our team remotely. This role focuses on quoting and estimating industrial electrical projects from the switchgear through to the mechanization phase. The ideal candidate will bring immediate value with minimal ramp-up time and possess deep technical expertise in industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for industrial electrical systems.
  • Conduct site surveys to collect project-specific data (travel required).
  • Interpret and work from CAD files (initial drafts provided).
  • Ensure all estimates comply with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and field teams to ensure alignment between estimates and execution.
Essential Skills
  • Demonstrated experience estimating industrial electrical projects.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute from day one.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC guidelines.
  • Experience with site surveys and translating findings into accurate estimates.
  • Experience with PLC installation and industrial automation.
  • Familiarity with estimating software.
  • Blueprint reading, MEP, project management, and bidding experience.
  • Competence in CAD software.
Work Environment

This is a full remote position with 2530% travel required for short-duration site surveys at industrial facilities such as those similar to Amazon or the Postal Service. The role offers a competitive salaried position with full family health coverage and covers all travel expenses, including per diem. Initial field exposure is provided to ensure a hands-on understanding of project environments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Travel Support:

2530% travel is required, primarily for short-duration site surveys.
All travel expenses are fully covered, including per diem allowances.
Initial field exposure is included to ensure hands-on understanding of project environments.
