Electrical Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to support, review, and validate equipment and electrical controls for both domestic and international markets. This role requires compliance with regulatory standards and the creation of testing equipment in a commercial setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support, review, and validate equipment and electrical controls, including PCB design, ensuring regulatory compliance and certification.
  • Assemble, install, test, and modify experimental and operational electrical machinery, equipment, circuitry, and components according to established procedures and engineering specifications.
  • Work with product engineering to achieve product certifications and validate regulatory processes.
  • Establish processes and tools for a robust data management system for electrical engineering documentation.
  • Manage project issues and risks to mitigate impact by escalating issues at the appropriate time.
  • Design testing methods and properties to confirm systems' and components' capabilities.
  • Read and understand electronics schematics, decipher circuit diagram functions, and other related documents.
  • Work with existing files to make improvements or corrections as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Associate's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting electrical design by reviewing, validating, and testing electrical controls and equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience validating and specifying electrical components compliant with US and global regulatory agencies.
  • Adept at interpreting project and product needs, developing product requirements, and executing with a cross-functional development team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with various Regulatory Agencies globally preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and business intelligence tools, Microsoft Power BI preferred.
  • Experience in PCB design, PCB testing.
Work Environment

The role requires working in a commercial environment that involves the use of advanced technologies and equipment. The position may involve working with consumer products, appliances, mechanical systems, and occasionally in industrial settings. Dress code and attire will be appropriate to the commercial and industrial environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.60 - $43.75/hr.
