Project Engineer

Job Description

Join an expanding team in Afton, MO, as a Project Engineer overseeing the implementation and installation of new production lines in a gourmet chocolate facility. This role involves project management for the design and execution of grinding and packaging lines. The facility is part of a renowned international provider of semi-finished ingredients for the bakery, pastry, and gelato markets, with a strong track record of growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the project implementation and installation of new production lines.
• Manage on-site contractors and address installation queries.
• Procure equipment, design specifications, and oversee bid processes.
• Review quotes and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage project timelines, cost management, and invoicing.
• Adjust designs as needed and communicate changes to contractors.
• Read and interpret schematics at a high level.

• Experience in project management and engineering.
• Familiarity with GMP guidelines for sanitation and food or pharma manufacturing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for reading schematics.
• Experience in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with a Bachelor's Degree.

• Strong contractor management skills.
• Experience in cost and timeline management.
• Excellent communication skills for working with contractors and suppliers.

The position primarily involves working on the manufacturing floor, interfacing with contractors, suppliers, engineering, and production staff. The environment is dynamic and engaging, with the delightful aroma of chocolate throughout the facility.

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
