Note: The hourly rate for this position is $28 - $30 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:

  • Removal of existing outlets/switches while checking wire compatibility to replace/install new outlets to code
  • Follow guidelines for the installation of new recessed and LED lighting
  • Inspect existing grounding electrodes and conductors for damage or corrosions
  • Replace outdated components, adding additional grounding rods or plats in areas with high resistance soils
  • Check and adjust grounding conductor sizes and perform regular testing to ensure proper grounding resistance levels
  • Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 yrs. years of experience on commercial or residential construction sites
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes and laws in your area
  • Perform tests and use the results to diagnose problems for example, when an outlet is not working, using a multimeter to check the voltage, amperage, or resistance to resolve the appropriate course of action
  • Have all of the tools of your trade on hand and be able to bring them to your jobsite
  • Able to pass required background check
  • Have reliable transportation to and from the jobsite daily
