Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a mid-level Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to support a diverse range of projects from small studies to multi-million dollar turn-key supplies. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, organized, and adept at communicating across all levels of the organization, while effectively meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Specify electrical design for parts and equipment, accounting for 50-60% of the role.
• Program and develop PLCs, with a focus on Allen Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk, making up 40-50% of the role.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful execution of control system designs.
• Travel to customer sites for meetings, installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting, which involves over 30% travel.

• PLC programming with a focus on Allen Bradley PLCs and experience with other PLCs.
• HMI programming, preferably with FactoryTalk or similar platforms.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or Mechatronics.
• US Citizenship required.
• Experience in controls/electrical engineering, including code writing using Rockwell or other PLCs.

• A Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering
• At least one year of engineering experience.
• electronics, instrumentation, control and data acquisition systems, PLCs, variable frequency drive systems, motion control systems, sensors and transmitters, actuators, PID control, and communication networks.
• Willingness to travel 30% of the time.

This position requires on-site work, with half days on Fridays. You will engage with control devices such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), servo drives, industrial instrumentation, and data acquisition measurement systems. The work week is Monday to Friday, with a 40-hour schedule and minimal overtime. Travel to customer sites is required for meetings, installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $57.00/hr.
