Job Description As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing mechanical systems, assemblies, and machined components using SolidWorks. You will perform FEA and thermal simulations in ANSYS to validate and optimize designs, creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and assembly. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, electrical, and controls engineering is essential. You will conduct design reviews and implement feedback to improve product performance and manufacturability, support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting, and maintain documentation ensuring compliance with engineering standards and best practices. Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems, assemblies, and machined components using SolidWorks.
- Perform FEA and thermal simulations in ANSYS to validate and optimize designs.
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and assembly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, electrical, and controls engineering.
- Conduct design reviews and implement feedback to improve product performance and manufacturability.
- Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in machinery or industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling.
- Experience with ANSYS or similar FEA tools for structural and thermal analysis.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in machine design and injection mold design.
