Welder**
**Job Description**
The position involves responsibility for various types of weld preparation, GTAW & GMAW-P welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to blueprints and specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Use TIG or MIG Pulse welding processes to weld stainless steel components of 304 and 316 metal products.
+ Interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, and tolerances.
+ Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
+ Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
+ Set up and operate hand and power tools, such as angle grinder, TIG welder and gas metal arc welding equipment.
+ Select proper filler rods according to base metal specifications.
+ Grind or cut edges of workpieces to be joined to ensure snug fit, using angle grinders and hand tools.
+ Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in GTAW & GMAW-P welding forms and reading blueprints.
+ Ability to read a tape measure and perform simple calculations.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Good communication and teamwork skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Welding certificates are a plus.
+ Experience with modular fixturing is a plus.
+ Ability to learn quickly and advance upon what has been learned.
