Now Hiring: Welder/Fabricator**

**Job Description**

Assemble and weld mechanical components and sub-assemblies, ensuring that all products comply with engineering drawings and meet tolerances. Utilize a wire welder, plasma cutter, and standard shop tools to complete tasks in accordance with contract specifications, engineering drawings, and standard procedures. Ensure all tasks are performed following the companys policies and quality system procedures.

**Responsibilities**

+ Interpret technical drawings and plans to understand the specifications of the final product.

+ Choose appropriate materials and prepare them for fabrication, including cutting, measuring, and cleaning.

+ Perform MIG, TIG, stick welding, or other methods, and grind and polish finished products as needed.

+ Use tools such as saws, plasma cutters, torches, or machines to cut and shape materials accurately.

+ Inspect fabricated components for accuracy, defects, and compliance with standards.

+ Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication tools and machinery to ensure efficient operation.

+ Follow all safety protocols and wear proper protective equipment while working.

+ Work closely with engineers, designers, and tradespeople to ensure the finished product meets requirements.

+ Utilize cranes and forklifts during daily operations.

**Essential Skills**

+ Experience with fabrication and blueprint reading.

+ Proficiency in using measuring tools.

+ Skills in MIG and TIG welding.

+ Ability to measure and read specifications/prints.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience with weld preparation, plasma cutting, torch cutting, and quality inspection.

+ Passion for welding, even at a hobby level.

+ Strong skills in areas other than TIG welding may be considered.

**Work Environment**

Work in a shop environment using various welding and cutting equipment such as wire welders, plasma cutters, and standard shop tools. Follow company policies and quality system procedures. Safety protocols and proper protective equipment are mandatory.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract position based out of Yorktown, Virginia.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
