Position Summary

As a Project Engineer, you will provide technical and administrative support to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, ensuring the smooth flow of information between the office and field. Your responsibilities will include drawing annotation, submittal tracking, RFIs, take-offs, and assisting with the preparation of change orders and field documentation. This foundational position offers a hands-on learning opportunity for individuals seeking long-term growth within EverGreene's project management career path.

Core Responsibilities

Technical & Administrative Support

  • Annotate drawings and assist with redlines, as-builts, and version tracking
  • Perform quantity take-offs and basic procurement tracking specific to EverGreene scopes
  • Compile, format, and assemble change order documentation in coordination with PMs and APMs
  • Maintain logs and databases for RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and related technical records
  • Support drawing distribution, version control, and internal document workflows

Project Coordination Assistance

  • Assist APMs and PMs with scheduling updates, delivery confirmations, and on-site logistics
  • Help track submittals, punch list items, field reports, and material deliveries
  • Prepare and update internal status trackers, billing documentation, and project logs
  • Collaborate with field and office staff to keep technical documentation current

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Interface with APMs, PMs, and Senior PMs to support daily needs
  • Participate in internal coordination meetings and take meeting minutes when assigned
  • Follow through on delegated tasks and ensure timely delivery of support materials
  • Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and inclusivity by upholding best practices and fostering a diverse culture of mutual respect.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a construction, or adjacent field
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in drawing annotations, digital markup, and PDF editing
  • Basic understanding of restoration practices and construction workflows
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
  • Familiar with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, and PDF editing tools
  • OSHA 30 required; SST (for NYC candidates). Can be obtained post hire.
  • Must be able to travel and assist in managing projects across multiple regions as needed.

Work Environment & Travel Expectations

This is a hybrid role requiring both office and site presence. Project Engineers must be comfortable in active construction environments, including scaffolding and ladders when applicable. Compliance with safety protocols and PPE use is mandatory. Occasional travel may be required. EverGreene is a smoke free environment.
