Expected salary range of $139,500 to $155,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

LOCATION

This is a territory-based hybrid / remote role supporting projects within Northern Ohio. This role will cover a territory that ranges from Clevland and Akron, OH, to as far west as Toledo, and as south as Columbus, OH. Candidate must reside within the outlined territory to perform the essential responsibilities of this role. Our ideal candidate will live in Clevland / Akron area

This position requires 75% travel, locally within the geographic territory to attend project site meetings and monthly travel to attend in-person meetings at our Warrendale, PA office. Travel expenses, including mileage, are covered by Constellation’s standard travel policy.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Principal Construction Project Manager (PM) leads project teams and plans, directs, and coordinates activities of large-scale, energy efficiency-focused commercial construction projects. Ensures that projects are completed safely, with a high level of quality, & on-time and on/under budget. Manages all aspects of project phases, from pre-construction to completion. Act as primary liaison with clients, develops subcontract and procurement documentation, including scope of work, equipment/material lists, and specifications. Negotiates subcontract and procurement scope, and terms & conditions.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Plans, directs and coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals/objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  • Maintain & monitor safe working conditions; identifies, corrects, and reports unsafe work areas, enforces safety compliance.
  • Develops and reviews project schedules, cost estimation, bill of materials, budgets, scopes of work, standards and quotes from suppliers
  • Manages all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring professional project management from system design through construction and project close-out phases.
  • Supervises and maintains strict control over project implementation to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manages and leads key aspects of project management support, including coordination of shop drawings and submittals, development and processing of change orders, response to Requests for Information (RFIs), tracking of project progress and schedules, preparation and tracking of invoices, as well as financial planning, cost forecasting, and schedule management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and 8-years related work experience in construction project management, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Experience at preparing estimates and value engineering
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Current OSHA 10-hour card
  • Experience directing, supervising, and training employees; assigning and overseeing work; and managing and coordinating subcontractors
  • Experience managing all fiscal aspects of construction projects, including cost estimating and budget forecasting
  • Demonstrated expertise in construction project management methodologies, with experience managing projects in alignment with construction contracts and a strong understanding of engineering and construction documents and processes
  • Ability to review and interpret schematic, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural drawings
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience resolving challenging situations requiring tact and collaboration to maintain cost-effective operations
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and tracking using software such as Primavera and other common construction project management applications
  • Possession of a Federal Security Clearance (HSPD-12 minimum) or eligibility to obtain one
  • Advanced knowledge and application of English grammar including composition, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb and walk long distances
  • Climb ladders, work at various high elevations and ladders/scaffolds.
  • Demonstrated strong skills with all Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10-years of experience managing commercial construction projects
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) experience, highly preferred
  • Commercial HVAC knowledge/experience, highly preferred
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Certification
  • Experience managing M.U.S.H. market projects - K-12, highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, environmental) or construction management discipline
  • Experience managing State or Federal government construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple prime subcontractors on construction projects
  • Experience working on Design-Build contract projects
  • PMP Certification
  • Current OSHA 30-hour card
