Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician with over 5 years of experience to join our team onsite in Rogersville. This role is initially guaranteed for 2 months, with the potential for extension pending additional funding. The position involves comprehensive testing cycles, including planning, methods, and setup, with a focus on aerospace components.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct full cycle testing, including planning, methods, and setup.
  • Utilize hand tools effectively for various mechanical tasks.
  • Perform testing in one of the following areas: Propulsion Testing, Rocket Engine Testing, Aircraft Testing, or Aviation Testing.
  • Collaborate with engineers in fabrication, tubing, and support testing.
  • Interpret and work with blueprints, schematics, and production documents.
  • Engage in field service, installation, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Technician.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools.
  • Experience in aerospace component testing.
  • Ability to work onsite in Rogersville.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with testing programs, test plans, and test procedures.
  • Capability in handling test equipment, fixtures, and automation.
  • Knowledge of avionics, aircraft, and aviation components.
Work Environment

This position requires onsite work in Rogersville. Candidates should be prepared to work in a hands-on environment with a focus on testing aerospace components. The work environment is dynamic, involving collaboration with engineering teams and the use of various mechanical and testing equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
