Location: Valley Green, PA
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, highbandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks,Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the AIrevolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Ourheadquarters are located in Haiyan, Zhejiang, China and we offer all connectorneeded components and automation machines to different Amphenol sites. We arecurrently seeking an Automation Engineering Project Manager to join our team.The position will be located in Nashua, NH or Valley Green, PA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Project Manager - Automation Engineering will be responsible forcommunicating with the US based internal Business Units that serve as AJET'scustomers and coordinating projects to the AJET team in China.
A successful candidate will have experience with automation, understand HighSpeed connector products and related automation machines. This person will passthe exact information to China HQ team by providing onsite meeting anddiscussion support whenever NH or VG needed.
Liaise with different business units in Nashua, NH, Valley Green PA and theMexicali manufacturing facility for any new toolings, new machines, and newconnector R&D related work.Summarize relevant information to the AJET team in ChinaManaging communication with customers in AmericaWork with sponsors, stakeholders, subject matter experts, functional arearesources, and others to develop project scope, schedule, and budget informationPlan, execute, monitor, and control all aspects of multiple projects inparallelCoordinate internal and external project resources, ensuring resourceavailability and allocationCollect the new project requirements and demands (tooling, machines, etc.)from North America based Business Units, summarize and provide timely feedbackto AJETProvide accurate feedback to customersDetermine where opportunities exist to expand businessProvide direction to engineers and technicians assisting in theconstruction, troubleshooting, and documentation of equipmentTravel up to 40% to manufacturing sites globally, including AJET HQ in China
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical or other related engineering disciplineor applicable experience0-3 years in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated abilitydeveloping and implementing automation processes and equipmentSolid knowledge in the Automation/Electrical Engineering Design field, withextensive project management experience in the communication industryBilingual English/Mandarin is a mustAbility to work both independently and as a team member to accomplishobjectivesManage multiple tasks and changing prioritiesManaging and leading both long-term programs/projects, as well as addressshort-term operational issuesEffective written and verbal communicator
