Oversees construction and commissioning of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems for utility infrastructure, building, and waterfront construction projects.
Job Requirements:
ABET-accredited engineering degree required
Experience in construction management for utility or heavy industrial facilities
Familiarity with OSHA 10/30 safety certifications
Knowledge of National Building Codes, Plumbing Codes, Mechanical Codes, and applicable industry standards (NEC, ACI, AISC, ASME, NFPA, AWS, OSHA)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with construction surveillance and contractor oversight
Ability to identify and resolve construction or design conflicts
Competency in developing commissioning documentation including checklists, operating procedures, and training materials
Skilled in conducting safety assessments and quality control inspections
Ability to coordinate multiple construction projects with stakeholders, customers, operations, and maintenance personnel
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the construction of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems for assigned projects
Perform contractor oversight and ensure compliance with design and contract requirements
Conduct construction surveillance and enforce adherence to specifications and safety protocols
Troubleshoot and resolve design and construction conflicts, including direction of re-tests as needed
Prepare startup and commissioning documents, including system operation training
Execute quality assurance and inspection procedures throughout construction lifecycle
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and departments to ensure smooth project execution
Pay Details: $24.00 to $33.00 per hour
