Overview:
A technically skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager (Mid-level) is needed to lead infrastructure projects involving new business connections to the electric grid. This role focuses on supporting large-scale commercial and industrial customers—such as data centers and advanced manufacturing facilities—as they connect to the utility network through complex substation and transmission projects.
The position oversees projects from concept through construction, working closely with engineering, procurement, real estate, and construction teams to ensure successful execution.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery, including scope, planning, design, and execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts among engineering, permitting, procurement, and construction.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on progress, resolving issues that could delay or impact delivery.
  • Facilitate stakeholder communication and lead project meetings to maintain momentum.
  • Ensure all work meets technical, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, schedules, and status reports.
  • Champion project management best practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree is not required , though candidates with technical degrees (especially in Electrical or Civil Engineering ) are typically more successful in this role.
  • Experience:
    • 5–10 years of project management experience, preferably in utility infrastructure.
    • Proven success with projects involving substations, transmission lines, or power generation (e.g., wind farms).
    • Not suitable for candidates with a background primarily in IT, telecom, or fiber projects.
  • Certifications:
    • PMP is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong understanding of utility engineering and construction disciplines.
    • Proficient in project tracking tools and cost control practices.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership capabilities.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Work Schedule and Requirements:
  • Fully on-site role; no remote or hybrid option .
  • Must be able to work from project sites and office as needed.
  • Work hours: 8-hour shift scheduled between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (total of 8.5 hours including lunch).

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Has a utility or construction industry background.
  • Hands-on experience with grid interconnection projects or similar high-voltage work.
  • Comfortable managing large-scale infrastructure projects with minimal oversight.
  • Technically knowledgeable and able to interface confidently with engineering teams and external partners.
