About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically sound Technical Lead for our Functional QA team,having methodical approach, keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, with a robust background in cloud-native product testing and experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or any major cloud platform (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure). This position demands a seasoned technical leader who thrives in dynamic environments, is capable of managing multiple priorities, and can proactively assess and mitigate risks while maintaining team alignment and executional excellence.

Strong foundation in designing and implementing QA test strategies .You must also be passionate about understanding the product domain and designing/executing tests to provide key project deliverables, calling on your scripting/programming skills where appropriate and making use of your innovative mindset to help deliver the best in cloud services. You will champion and prioritize important Customer and Business scenarios as you develop test strategies.

Strong technical management capabilities, balancing hands-on guidance with strategic oversight, while ensuring coordination across geographically dispersed QA engineers. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring cross-functional alignment, clear prioritization, and effective collaboration across Engineering, Product Management, and Senior Management.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

+ Lead technically a team of 5-6 QA engineers.

+ Drive coordination, workload balancing, and task delegation to meet delivery timelines with quality.

+ Exhibit strong multitasking skills to manage multiple projects, environments, and test cycles in parallel.

Cloud-Native Product Testing:

+ Apply expertise in cloud-native applications and distributed architectures

+ Develop suitable test strategies and approaches for complex systems. Bring the customer and business user perspective in developing these strategies

+ Contribute and Participate in reviews and development of requirement documents, functional and technical design specifications, test specifications

+ Own end-to-end testing for cloud-based products focusing on scalability, performance, and resilience.

OCI Expertise:

+ Utilize Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) tools or quickly ramp up to proficiency with them.

+ Apply cloud platform knowledge (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP) to drive effective cloud-native testing.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment:

+ Act as a collaborative bridge between QA, Development, Architecture, and Product teams.

+ Ensure seamless communication and coordination for feature validation, test planning, and strategic QA initiatives.

Technical Management & Prioritization:

+ Drive technical leadership with a strong sense of prioritization and risk management.

+ Continuously analyze risks, escalate issues, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain quality and schedule adherence.

+ Exhibit technical ownership and decision-making acumen, guiding the team through changing priorities and complex testing challenges.

Reporting & Executive Communication:

+ Participate in executive updates and planning calls, providing concise status reports, quality metrics, and risk analysis.

+ Advocate for QA and ensure testing aligns with business goals and strategic product roadmaps.

Test Strategy & Execution Oversight:

+ Lead the design and implementation of scalable test strategies tailored for cloud-native applications.

+ Oversee functional, regression, performance, and integration testing cycles.

**Qualifications:**

Experience:

+ 10+ years in Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a technical lead or QA leadership role.

+ Strong knowledge of cloud-native applications design and development architecture

Cloud & OCI Knowledge:

+ Direct experience with OCI, or demonstrable expertise in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud with the ability to transition.

+ Working experience with cloud infrastructure services (compute, networking, storage, databases).

Technical Skills:

+ Solid hands-on expertise with cloud-native testing tools, test automation frameworks and performance/security testing tools.

+ Proficient in test management platforms (e.g., Jira, TestRail), version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Leadership & Strategic Abilities:

+ Proven technical management skills, with the ability to lead under pressure and make high-impact decisions.

+ Demonstrated success in multitasking, task prioritization, and risk-based testing approaches.

+ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Desirable Skills:

+ Advanced exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and service virtualization tools.

+ Experience in performance and scalability testing of cloud-native systems.

+ Familiarity with Oracles cloud service suite is highly desirable.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracles differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
