Your day as a Civil Construction Laborer

As a Full-Time Civil Construction Laborer at Wisper ISP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our projects run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough site walk-throughs at all jobsite locations before construction begins, allowing you to identify any potential challenges and communicate findings to our Pre-Construction Department. Additionally, you will be tasked with installing breaker disconnects in meter housings for new construction locations, ensuring that all installations meet safety and regulatory standards. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the establishment of reliable telecommunications infrastructure while working collaboratively with a dedicated team.

Your attention to detail, technical knowledge, and teamwork will directly contribute to successful project outcomes.

Schedule: Monday through Friday business hours, after hours as needed by the business

Pay: $18-$20/hour

Travel: 75% overnight travel within our Midwest network; home on weekends

What matters most

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current valid Driver's License
• 1+ years demonstrated experience in Telecom OSP or related industry
• Must be able to travel away from home for up to 1 week at a time - up to 75% travel per year
• Must be able to drive a truck with a trailer
• Ability to be added to Company auto-insurance policy
• Regular and predictable attendance required
• Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future
• Physical Requirements: Heavy: Lifting 25+ lbs.
