This role will be based at our new Siemens Energy Transformers Manufacturing Center Factory in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The facility is planned to be built by 2026 for production commencement. Consequently, the first part of the journey in this role in our company will involve overseeing the construction of the factory and the implementation of new processes, as well as managing the development of a high-performance team and coordinating all aspects of the factory setup to prepare for production.

A Snapshot of Your Day

The Maintenance Manager plays a key role in all stages of Large Power Transformer manufacturing process. This role is responsible to avoid any interruption during manufacturing, reducing cost, along the entire process. As Maintenance Supervisor, you will define and improve maintenance process ensuring safety, quality and cost. This individual will also work closely with different departments, into the organization, sharing experience and information of equipment and maintenance. Additionally, this role requires a combination of strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Resolving complex issues defining strategies, tactics, projects and methods to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost, while leading, defining and implementing maintenance policies, guidelines, processes, training and procedures, ensuring coherence with local and external regulations.
  • Be responsible for equipment maintenance and prevent maintenance, analyzing maintenance plans and critical timelines in manufacturing, planning resources and available stocks of materials, parts and components.
  • Define, track and share maintenance KPIs; and support the definitions of OPEX and CAPEX.
  • Support short-, mid- and long-term maintenance plans for assigned manufacturing site; contributing to design layout and optimizing the actual infrastructure.
  • Analyze and improve technical problems on site, leading and managing cooperation with external suppliers and maintenance service providers.
  • Develop and perform training program to reduce impacts due failures and generate a positive environmental impact and oversee ramp up, set up and start procedures to prepare machines and equipment for operations.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree: Electric, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • 05+ Years of experience in Maintenance.
  • Knowledge in Large Power Transformers strongly preferred.
  • Experience with project management, planning and logistics, as well as SAP and HANA System.
  • Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance [TPM] and Overall Equipment Effectiveness [OEE].
  • Travel availability and support maintenance activities out of time.
  • PLC development knowledge. SIEMENS PLC is preferred.
