Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to join our team, responsible for developing cost estimates at various stages of the design process. This role involves working closely with clients, vendors, and project managers to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates from schematic and budget phases to detailed take-offs.
  • Maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and project managers.
  • Communicate effectively with architects, engineers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Build rapport with client representatives and ensure project scope and deliverables are clearly understood.
  • Participate in project meetings, review schedules, and prepare reports.
  • Visit project sites, warehouses, and other facilities necessary to complete estimates.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience in estimation and project management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in estimating.
  • Proficient in software such as Sage, RedTeam, and Procore.
  • Excellent self-management and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of all facets of the construction process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • A degree in construction management is a plus.
  • Experience in general construction and design-build projects.
Work Environment

This role is primarily based in the office within the General Contracting department, with some site visits required for bid processes. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $44.00/hr.
