Power Equipment Operator
WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
Reporting to the Service Center Manager, the Power Equipment Operator will be operating power equipment to move products through the Distribution network.
We work hard together and work in a friendly and engaging environment.
Responsibilities:
You can expect the work to be very physically demanding with an extremely high focus on your safety and the safety of others
You will be driving power and lifting heavy equipment (Forklift and clamp truck)
Loads material onto skids or pallets manually for shipment or use in the production area.
Performs the necessary cleaning, servicing, and driver maintenance, including checking oil, water, and fuel levels, and refilling as needed.
Fills out a master packing list on all orders consisting of more than one shipping tally.
Keeps the warehouse and store area in a clean and orderly condition.
Checks all trucks and boxcars before loading as to cleanliness, leaks, odors, protruding nails, steel bands, etc.
Loads or unloads materials manually into or from clean boxcars and trucks in a manner that will prevent damage while en route.
Prepares accurate reports, records, and work timecards as may be required.
May use simple hand tools (crowbar, hammer) to do miner work on warehouse pallets and shipping or receiving vehicles. This does not mean forklift.
Environmental Conditions: The warehouse environment is not climate-controlled.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
A High School diploma or GED is preferred
Valid driver's license
Attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Must be able to read, speak, and write English
Must be able to distinguish between colors
Must be able to hear forklifts traveling in forward or reverse direction
Range of Motion: Full repetitive bending and lifting
Must be able to lift 75-pound bundles without assistance
Continuous standing, walking, and moving daily
Safe and ergonomic bending is also regularly expected throughout the shift

Provided is the pay rate for this position, which is $22.90 per hour, plus a mid-shift differential of $0.30/hr. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 3% of the hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.
Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include:
Shift Differentials (i.e., Hourly Rate plus Mid-Shift Differential of $0.30/ hr)
Standard Overtime (Hourly Rate * 1.5)
