Responsibilities: Reading and interpreting blueprints: Use technical drawings to understand project specifications and ensure accurate construction. Measuring, cutting, and shaping: Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to precise dimensions using hand and power tools. Constructing and assembling: Build frameworks, install fixtures (like doors and windows), and assemble prefabricated elements. Repairing and maintaining: Replace damaged framework, repair existing structures, and maintain wooden fixtures. Following safety protocols: Carpenters adhere to safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment. Working with various tools: Proficient in using a wide range of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, hammers, and more. Communicating effectively: Collaborate with other construction workers, contractors, and clients.
