**Position Summary:**
- **This position is responsible for performing grounds maintenance
duties at the Naval Station of Great Lakes, IL.**
- **Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm, Weekends & Overtime
(as needed), Paid Federal & Holidays OFF**
- **Pay: \$19.75 Hour**

**Typical Duties**
- The Laborer mows, trims, edges and blows/sweeps grass using mowers,
trimmers, edgers, and blowers.
- The Laborer may be assigned to plant sod, shrubs, flowers, trees
and/or landscape materials like blocks, pavers and rock. Laborer
work includes pruning, raking, applying or removing mulch and
watering.
- The Laborer is expected to safely operate equipment and to help
perform minor maintenance of filling fluids, greasing, cleaning,
replacing string or sharpening blades.
- The Laborer contributes to teamwork by training and helping
co-workers, communicating needs to the supervisor and implementing
feedback for improvement.
- The Laborer continually performs duties with a special focus on
safety, quality and customer service**.**
***Requirements***
Must pass criminal background check. Must pass various State and Federal
registry checks. Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.
Preferred: pass driving history check and Company policy criteria. Must
maintain a valid drivers license and be 21 or older to drive.
Frequently standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and twisting
while mowing, trimming, blowing, raking, pruning, planting, and
performing other related grounds maintenance duties. Company travel
using a personal insured vehicle is not required.
On call for snow removal
Must pass criminal background check.
Must pass various State and Federal registry checks.
Company travel using personal insured vehicle is not required.
