Position Overview: We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support daily operations through the repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of production equipment and facility systems in a food manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay, union benefits, and a consistent schedule.

salary: $53,600 - $71,510 per year
shift: Third
work hours: 9 PM - 5 AM
education: High School

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in the facility.
  • Set up and use machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill press, and milling machine to repair or fabricate parts.
  • Troubleshoot issues and repair failures of production and facility equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Food manufacturing experience required—must have a strong understanding of food safety regulations, GMPs, and sanitary equipment maintenance.
  • Complete assigned work orders and maintain maintenance areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Utilize maintenance systems as necessary to complete daily, weekly, and monthly duties.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely.
  • Enter information into systems to document work order completion.
  • Provide support to the team in the predictive and preventative maintenance program.
  • Participate and actively support all plant initiatives.
  • Organize and define tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
