Hardware Engineer/Electrical Engineer Location: Dallas, TX, USA (Onsite) Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analog and digital circuit schematics using Mentor PADS schematic design tools
  • Select electronic components based on electrical requirements, cost, and availability
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, schematics, test reports, and revision history
  • Collaborate with third party PCB layout engineers ensuring signal integrity, thermal performance, and manufacturability
  • Develop test procedures and validate electrical performance through simulation, prototyping, and hands-on lab testing
  • Work closely with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration
  • Support board bring-up, debugging, and design validation throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Produce reports on project progress and other details for managerial staff
  • Interface with vendors, contract manufacturers, and suppliers to support PCB fabrication and assembly
  • Test new systems and make design changes if needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve circuit-level and system level issues
  • Travel up to 10%
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in Mentor PADS schematic design tools and SAP
  • Solid understanding of electronic components, circuit theory, signal processing, and power systems
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters , and other lab equipment
  • Familiarity with high-speed digital design, power management, or mixed-signal circuits is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of North American standards: NFPA, NEC, UL/cUL, CSA, as well as International and European standards: IEC/CE
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Experience working in multi-functional team
  • Proven experience in PCB design
Education and Experience Qualifications
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
