Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description

This role involves implementing new product designs, strategies, and processes. The engineer will serve as the technical point of contact for all project teams, providing direction on design and technical details. Additionally, the position offers technical assistance in manufacturing strategies, quality control, and on-site troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Examine blueprints, engineering drawings, components, shipping lists, assemblies, and installation drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to design standards.
  • Work directly with Design Draftsmen, Engineers, and Project Managers to determine logical and cost-effective designs to meet requirements.
  • Prepare detailed drawings of RF Shielded Enclosures and Anechoic Chambers, including plans for Architectural, MEP, and structures as per client specifications.
  • Research products, materials, and building assemblies to incorporate into project designs for maximum efficiency.
  • Obtain and assemble data to complete modular designs and coordinate with manufacturing staff to find efficiencies in fabrication.
  • Take projects from start to finish, detailing and checking projects of any size with speed and accuracy.
  • Interface with clients and lead design meetings on special projects to meet customer design requirements.
  • Serve as the Lead Designer on specialty projects as required.
  • Assist in training the design team and implementing processes to enhance team performance on projects.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in design software such as SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Experience in sheet metal and mechanical design.
  • Background in new product development and project management.
  • Knowledge of medical device design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Design Engineering.
Work Environment

This position requires onsite work, providing a hands-on environment for collaboration and direct engagement with design projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.
