Description This position is responsible for Engineering project management, with a focus on new product development, Advanced technology, customer, plant, and supplier support for the Transport Refrigeration Business. You will solve customer issues (performance, sound, vibration, quality) and lead development of products per customer needs. This includes developing/managing schedules, prioritizing tasks, leading meetings, conducting performance/reliability assessments and completing product releases. Projects will require working with cross-functional teams, presenting project status to management and interaction with customers and suppliers.
AS A PROJECT ENGINEER/SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER YOU WILL:
  • Manage and coordinate efforts among cross functional teams to complete projects successfully
  • Interface with customers regarding product derivative requests, and meet required schedules
  • Lead technical discussions with key customers and internal team members.
  • Drive technical schedules and develop contingency plans to deliver projects on time.
  • Proficiently execute DFMEA to drive qualification plans.
  • Ensure performance and reliability of products through analysis, testing and collaboration with other groups such as reliability, manufacturing, quality and supplier quality.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to develop designs and release new and modified products.
  • Lead structured problem-solving method to determine root cause and corrective actions to issues.
  • Use Simulation tools and perform analytical calculations in areas of thermodynamics, heat transfer and machine design to aid development.
  • Work as a team with lab technicians to setup and monitor testing.
    REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
    - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent plus a minimum of one year of relevant experience (will
    consider co-op/internship experience)
    - Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
    - Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
    - Must be able to travel: 5-10%
    - Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Two or more years of relevant experience
- Experience with compressors or other rotating equipment
- Proficient in the use of MiniTab or other statistical software
- Understanding of refrigeration, thermodynamics and HVAC systems
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with problem solving methodologies (DMAIC or similar) #LI-AE #LI-Hybrid
