Key Responsibilities:

Estimating & Take-Offs

Perform accurate quantity take-offs from architectural drawings and specifi cations.

Develop comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.

Analyze blueprints and shop drawings to ensure accuracy in scope.

Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination

Communicate with vendors to request pricing, lead times, and material availability.

Identify and onboard new vendors and subcontractors for glazing, faade, and specialty work.

Maintain updated records of vendor pricing and contacts.

Client & Architect Communication

Coordinate with general contractors and architects to clarify scope, details, and lead times.

Prepare and deliver material samples to clients, GCs, and design teams.

Project Support & Financials

Work with the Project Manager to determine labor needs, crew size, and installation timelines.

Support the PM with invoice preparation, AIA payment applications, and lien waivers.

Assist with collections and following up on outstanding payments.

Help prepare residential estimates and proposals.

Technical & Drawing Responsibilities

Create or modify shop drawings using SketchUp and/or CAD.

Interpret project documents and assist in the development of submittals and fabrication details.

Support transition into faade work by helping establish systems, vendors, and subcontractors.

Growth & Development

Research training and educational resources for faade systems and exterior installations.

Assist leadership in positioning the company as a qualifi ed faade contractor for larger-scale exterior jobs.

Stay current with industry trends, products, and installation methods.

Additional Duties

Obtain and maintain a Notary Public certifi cation to assist with documentation.

Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and project delivery.

Qualifi cations:

Experience: 35 years in construction estimating, preferably in glass, curtainwall, or faade systems.

Education: Degree or certifi cation in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related fi eld preferred.

Software Skills: Profi ciency in Microsoft Excel, take-off software, AutoCAD and/or SketchUp. Familiarity with Procore or other construction management tools is a plus.

Certifi cations: Notary Public (or willingness to obtain).
