Role Overview
Responsible for managing and closing Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion & Fire Alarm systems projects. Project portfolio will range in scope, system size, and complexity and range from residential to enterprise sites and systems. The Project Manager is the overall manager for assigned projects. The position ensures that all contracted work is developed, implemented, installed, and managed in accordance with the customer's and company's requirements, including but not limited to, safety, quality, management, and financial performance requirements. All aspects of the assigned project(s) must be conducted as efficiently as possible with respect to staffing, materials management, fiscal management, customer care and customer delivery goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan for, manage, monitor, and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals.
- Reviews all job cost postings for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage and supervise all project related staff to include capacity planning and staffing.
- The Project Manager will manage the workload distribution and monitor the customer delivery and job installation progress.
- Manage all related quality and safety issues on customer work.
- Project involvement typically begins post contract, but there may be opportunities for involvement in presale site walks, bid or design reviews.
- Acts the Company liaison for interface with General/Sub contractors, internal labor resources and other project related trades.
- Create, develop, and implement project process improvement(s).
- Coordinate and manage all required City, State and Federal government required permitting.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in electronic security, life safety and fire protection, or related construction disciplines such as electrical contracting.
- Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Professional project management (PMP) certification a plus.
- Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements:
- Intrusion: DMP, DSC, Qolsys, Alarm.com, Bosch
- Intercom: Aiphone, Zenitel/Stentofon
- NICET level 2 or 3 a plus.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project) required.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Must have demonstrated verifiable ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed associated tasks, and manage these to final completion and customer turnover.
- Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
- Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
- Working knowledge and manufacturer certifications for our suite of product offerings is a plus:
- Access Control: Software House, RS2, Salto, Avigilon, Alarm.com, Brivo, Milestone
- CCTV: March Networks, Avigilon, OpenEye, AXIS, Hanwa, Digital Watchdog
- Fire Alarm: Potter, Bongo, Napco

- Must have proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
