Heavy Equipment Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with expertise in excavator, bulldozer, and motor grader operations. The ideal candidate will operate support equipment such as front end loaders, rubber tire backhoes, mini-excavators, skid steers, off-road trucks, rollers, and more. Proficiency in GPS equipment, including machine control and GPS rover, is essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate heavy equipment efficiently to meet or exceed bid production goals.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, including greasing and maintaining oil/fluid levels and filters.
+ Ensure equipment cleanliness, including tracks, cabs, and windows.
+ Conduct thorough daily equipment inspections and document findings accurately.
+ Secure equipment properly each day, ensuring windows and doors are closed and locked.
+ Maximize equipment utilization and promptly report any equipment issues to project foreman or superintendent.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in operating bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, skid steers, rollers, and motor graders.
+ Knowledge of GPS systems, including Topcon and Trimble GPS.
+ Minimum of 3+ years of construction experience or a combination of education and experience.
+ Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
+ Experience with tools and equipment commonly used in the construction trade.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of principles, methods, and standards in the construction trade.
+ Experience in fine grading and GPS localization.
+ Ability to perform tasks in accordance with established standards and specifications.

**Work Environment**
