Fire Systems Apprentice $18-30/hr (Weekly Pay)**
**Job Description**
Join a family-owned business with over 60 years of experience in fire safety solutions as a Fire Systems Apprentice. This role offers the opportunity to learn and grow in the fire protection industry while working alongside experienced technicians. As an apprentice, you will assist in the installation, servicing, and inspection of fire safety systems, contributing to the mission of keeping communities safe.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist lead technician with the review and understanding of new project information.
+ Work in compliance with industry standards and codes such as NFPA 72, NFPA 17, and NEC.
+ Use hand and power tools for mechanical work and installation tasks.
+ Pull wire through conduit, walls, and drop ceilings as part of system installations.
+ Bend, cut, and install conduit following NEC code.
+ Obtain and maintain relevant certifications and credentials.
+ Support technicians during fire systems testing, inspection, and service calls.
**Essential Skills**
+ Basic understanding of electrical systems and familiarity with electricity fundamentals.
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overnight shifts if required.
+ Relevant certifications such as NICET, OSHA, BICSI, ICC, or Electrician License are a plus.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school experience is an advantage.
+ Basic understanding of blueprints and wiring schematics.
+ Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
+ Ability to pass a drug screening.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Prior fire systems experience: installing fire alarms and/or fire suppression systems.
+ Experience installing in an industrial and commercial environment.
+ Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
+ Work in jobsite settings at customer facilities.
+ Climbing and working on ladders or at heights achieved in a lift.
+ Positive attitude and desire to learn.
