Heavy Equipment Mechanic Pay Rate: $35-$42 per hour Employment Status: Full-time Non-Exempt Location: Mechanicville, NY Benefits: 100% company paid health insurance, vision and dental, pension plan, PTO. Overview: As a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic at Donnelly Construction, you will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet of heavy equipment and diesel vehicles operate safely and efficiently. You will work from our Mechanicville, NY shop and provide field service at job sites across update NY, solving complex problems and keeping equipment moving. Minimum Qualifications: - 5-10 years of experience as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic - Class A or B Commercial Driver's License and DOT Certified - Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and hydraulic systems Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail - Ability to multi-task, manage work priorities, and effectively work within a deadline driven environment - High school diploma or GED - Completion of a formal training program in diesel mechanics through a technical school or community college - Master Mechanic (ASE) certification Job Duties: - Perform repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment including engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, exhaust systems, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and more. - Analyze malfunctions, troubleshoot problems that may not be readily apparent, and find solutions to challenging repair scenarios. - Conduct thorough inspections and routine maintenance to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns - Using computerized tools and equipment - Maintain accurate records of all services performed - Conducting field visits in case of an emergency or sudden breakdown - Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations EEO Statements: Donnelly Construction Inc, is an equal opportunity employer, drug free workplace, and complies with ADA regulations as applicable.
