Experienced Project Estimator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position
$25.00 to $29.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
We are seeking a Experienced In-House Construction Utility Project Estimator to join our client's team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for underground construction supply projects. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of civil and utility construction methods, can interpret project plans and specifications, and is comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced office environment.
Review construction drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and other project documents.
Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and client quotes.
Conduct quantity takeoffs using digital takeoff software
Prepare and present bid proposals
Update and maintain unit price databases and historical cost records.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, RFIs, and scope clarification sessions.
Ensure all estimates comply with client specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Experienced Project Estimator Qualifications:
Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience estimating utility or civil construction projects (public or private sector).
Proficiency with estimating software
Familiarity with plan reading, CAD drawings, and digital takeoff tools.
Strong knowledge of utility construction processes and materials.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Applicant may be subject to a background check
Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
