Our firm is seeking an experienced and highly capable Electrical Engineer Project Manager to join our office team. Tres West offers competitive wages and a full benefits package .

The Electrical Engineer Project Manager will briefly:
- Complete accurate and high quality electrical and low voltage design with little to no supervision, meeting internal and external customer standards, production schedules and project goals.
- Effectively lead team, completing designs personally and through direct reports across several concurrent projects, meeting deadlines and performance goals.
- Perform project management for the Tres West project team through all phases of development, coordination, inspection, construction admin/management and project support services.
Key Responsibilities (not to be inclusive of all responsibilities):
Project Management
- Lead design team and manage project process through effective project management and coordination using a variety of tools and methods.
Demonstrate special ability to communicate with project owners, clients, architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, public agencies and other project stakeholders - Effectively manage team and individual workload and complete tasks on-time and to high quality standards including multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
- Supervise a technical staff including direct and shared reports as needed
- Maintain client and project schedules, target milestones, and other deadlines
- Meet internal project and team performance and production goals
- Attend design and/or construction meetings interacting on a professional level
- Develop professional meeting minutes and/or site observation reports
- Perform work at the highest levels of customer and client satisfaction
- Lead production of project-specific electrical design, calculations, specifications, cost opinions and drawings with profitable efficiency
- Provide technically accurate electrical and low voltage engineering personally and by direct reports including designers, EITs and other PEs through appropriate supervision and oversight
- Complete quality control of designs and review work of others.
- Demonstrate and maintain proficiency and technical expertise in electrical systems, low-voltage systems, current codes, standards, procedures, production software, and current industry trends
- Demonstrate strong computer and applicable software skills
- Complete on-time, accurate and technically sound designs and drawings using prevalent and latest industry software including REVIT, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and other programs
- Complete accurate electrical and communication system calculations by hand and using industry software including SKM and other programs
- Conduct site visits to review as-built conditions and develop feasible design solutions
- Assist firm principals as required
Construction Administration and Management
- Lead and manage the CA/CM process and perform support (both in office and on job site)
- Conduct construction site visits and complete field verification of installed systems including review and monitoring of work progress, review of submittals, inspecting completed work for deficiencies and compliance with contract documents, verifying contractor payment requests, and completing appropriate documentation
- Maintain strong customer relationships and attract, seek and develop new project and client opportunities
- Attend opportunity interviews and/or project meetings interacting on a professional level and promoting the firm
- Successfully communicate technical ideas and design methodology and clearly define project options, goals and scope with various stakeholders
- Produce electrical design services scopes of work, fee proposals and project cost opinions
- Conduct business with a positive and professional work attitude
- Create and promote a motivating environment for fellow employees
- Perform general office tasks and other duties as assigned and as required
Qualifications:
Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering is required.
- Current Washington State Electrical PE License is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer conducting the duties listed above. 5-10 years of experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of Team Management required and demonstrated skill for team leadership
- Demonstrate ability to perform Key Responsibilities listed above.
- Organized, dedicated, able to successfully handle several ongoing projects and tasks.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of NEC, Washington State and Seattle Energy Codes for commercial buildings.
