Mechanical Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and completion of various projects. You will provide guidance, set clear expectations, and ensure accountability across all project team members. Your role involves close collaboration with the Scheduler to develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring efficient allocation of labor, materials, and equipment to minimize delays and maximize productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Cost Controller to track project costs, forecast expenses, and ensure the project remains within budget.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality or timelines.
  • Work with the QA/QC Piping Specialist to ensure that all installations and mechanical systems meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Address any non-conformances promptly to maintain project quality.
  • Develop and implement a site-specific safety plan in collaboration with the Safety team.
  • Coordinate with the Labor Coordinator to schedule the right labor resources and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet project demands.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders regarding project status, progress, and any issues.
  • Provide regular updates, addressing concerns and ensuring that client expectations are met.
  • Oversee and manage any changes in project scope, ensuring that all change orders are documented, approved, and integrated into the project plan.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in HVAC, project management, and construction management.
  • Strong understanding of piping and change order processes.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Primavera and MS Project.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in construction management or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management.
  • Experience with large industrial projects.
  • Experience with plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
