Commissioning Foreman**

**Job Description**

As a Commissioning Foreman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. You will be responsible for completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements for motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and more. You will follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions and comply with NEC standards on wiring and installations.

**Responsibilities**

+ Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements.

+ Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring tools.

+ Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts with rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

+ Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, and alignment equipment.

+ Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.

+ Optimize maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

+ Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting actions, communicating irregularities, and scheduling corrections of abnormalities.

+ Manage communication plan protocols and reporting procedures, including daily and weekly communication, emails, virtual meetings, progress and issue logs.

+ Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

+ Adhere to commissioning plan and manage schedule of commissioning activities integrated with project schedule.

+ Verify proper installation of equipment and components according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

+ Conduct equipment startup checklists and verify proper startup procedures are followed.

+ Document initial operating parameters and identify any startup issues.

+ Manage issue logs and conduct root cause analysis.

+ Recommend corrective actions and review proposed corrective actions from contractors.

+ Verify implemented solutions and perform final system verification and documentation.

**Essential Skills**

+ Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, repair, service, and blueprint reading.

+ Experience in HVAC, field service, construction, preventive maintenance, and installation.

+ Ability to learn and apply standard tools and techniques to solve problems.

+ Excellent communication skills, both electronic/virtual and written, as well as in-person.

+ Self-motivated, responsible, and safety-oriented individual.

+ Positive 'can-do' attitude and ability to manage time and responsibilities independently.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Certificate or diploma in a related field required.

+ Completion of an industrial apprenticeship program is a plus.

+ Experience with industrial and mechanical systems required, cooling systems preferred.

+ Construction site experience required, data center familiarity preferred.

+ Thorough working knowledge of industrial and mechanical equipment, its usage, and safety procedures.

+ Experience directly managing and leading a team of 3+.

+ Willingness to lead while working alongside direct reports.

+ Flexible schedule, willing to work off-hours and overtime depending on construction schedule.

+ OSHA 30-Hour Certification.

**Work Environment**

You will work in a diverse and dynamic environment that requires flexibility in scheduling, including off-hours and overtime as needed. The role involves hands-on work with industrial and mechanical systems, including maintaining safety standards and ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations. Dress code is safety-oriented due to the nature of the work.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract position based out of Cheyenne, WY however training is in Calgary, Alberta.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.

**Workplace Type**

This is a fully onsite position in Cheyenne,WY.
