Saw Operator**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a dedicated Saw Operator for a flexible first shift position, working from 5am to 3pm, Monday through Thursday, with additional hours on Friday and Saturday as needed. The start time can be adjusted between 1am to 5am to accommodate individual preferences. This role involves precise cutting of stock materials, up to 36 inches in diameter, using various saws, such as band saws or circular saws. The position requires reading blueprints and shop drawings to determine the size and shape of final products, ensuring efficient use of raw materials.

**Responsibilities**

+ Operate machinery according to training documents.

+ Understand and manage machine controls to maintain proper sizing of parts.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.

+ Install saw blades and ensure proper placement of guards.

+ Set up saw operations using appropriate tools.

+ Load and unload parts being cut.

+ Adjust machines to accurately shape parts to required specifications.

+ Maximize the number of pieces cut from raw materials.

**Essential Skills**

+ Experience operating saws, including band saws and circular saws.

+ Proficiency in reading tape measures for precise measurements.

+ Strong math and measurement skills.

+ Heavy manufacturing experience.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Prior saw experience is a plus.

+ Ability to use basic math, especially adding fractions.

+ No certifications required.

**Work Environment**

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, Pennsylvania.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
