ABOUT THE POSITION: We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our business. The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely delivery of materials, products, and services to the Arbor Metals, Inc customers. This role ensures Workplace Health and Safety requirements are met and maintained according to Federal, State, and Local laws, along with all company-issued training.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains receiving, shipping, Inventory Control, and Production Work Cells by installing, coordinating, and enforcing departmental programs and Operational Work Instructions and procedures.
  • Controls Scrap, Inventory Levels, and accuracy by overseeing physical cycle counts and reconciling them with perpetual Inventory records.
  • Recruits, orients, plans, and trains staff as well as monitors employee performance.
  • Achieves Branch Financial Objectives by minimizing costs, O/T, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.
  • Assures Sales Orders are issued, picked, processed, shipped, and invoiced in a timely fashion.
  • Develops Vendor Evaluation criteria and regularly reviews Vendors for adherence.
  • Maintains warehouse & logistics operations, equipment, capacities, and capabilities by Production Planning and Measurement, routine inspection and repair of in-house machinery and equipment, and the regular review of warehouse layout and throughput.
  • Interacts with various customers, vendors, and service providers in the best interest of the company.
Qualifications
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years of Equivalent Work experience in a Service Center with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • A College Degree is preferred.
  • MSDS experience is a plus.
  • Excellent Verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Solid Computer, MS OFFICE Skills are a must.
  • Strong Organization skills and follow-up skills are very practical.
  • Experience in Budget development and management is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to traverse the operations facility.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
