Under close supervision responsibilites may include assembly, forming, finsihing, material removal, inspection, rework and repair of assembly components and parts, per customer specification, maintenance of machine tools, hydraulic systems, CNC equipment, vaccum and electrical systems on equipment throughout the company. Includes, but not limited to, operation of machines, hand and power tools, gages and measuring instruments, fabrication of temporary tooling, tooling maintenance and first level maintenance.

• Apply coatings and paint to various metallic blades in accordance to operations sheets
• Mix paint and other solutions for coating process
• Create test coupons for workflow
• Load and unload blades from furnances and ovens as per required for curing process
• Inspect blade as per specifications listed on work instructions
• Identifies and evaluates patterns. Prior to removal of material determines method to remove materiaal to meet customer specification
• Knows how to use handheld air powered tools such as grinders, sanders, and deburring tools
• Demonstrates understanding of following standard operating procedures to acquire desired results in a timely manner while meeting all quality aspects
• Knowledge of surface finishing processes including blending and sanding parts (Experience working with Titanium parts are a plus)
• Responsible for filling out or stamping approval of processes related documentation
• Maintains records assoicated with periodic maintenance and orders spare/replacement parts as required
• Maintains a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties in full compliance with company standards, customer and goverment regulations
• Assists in the development and maintenance of a business culture, which supports the company's overball business objectives and goals, to include issues that involve "cost, quality, process, schedule and people"
• Ensures the company's commitment to maintain a safe workplace and to protect the enivronment throught the establishment and support of the Company policy and adherence to various government regulations
• Fully complies with the "GKN Aerospace, Inc. Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government" in all areas of responsibility involving direct and indirect contracting with the United States Government
• Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilites as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing
• Must be able to read blueprints, schematics and diagrams
• Must be a US Person (Citizen or Green Card Holder) or have the ability to obtain the neccessary Government licensing to work with controlled technology and products

Preferred Qualifications:

• GKN Experience
• Experience working with hazardous materials and/or chemicals
• The ability to work as a team player as well as independently is required
• Knowledge and experience in trouble shooting or safety, quality and technical issues with co-workers, quality and engineering functions
• Must be willing to work in repetitive production enivronment with concern for meeting cost, quality and schedule requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Standing and walking (At least 7hrs/day)
• Ability to carry and lift weight up to 25lbs
• Bending, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling required (At least 2hrs/day)
• Use of hands for fine dexterity, light and strong grasping (At least 7hrs/day)
