Primary Function:
Responsible, as per training administered, work related to equipment repairs and changeovers, preventive maintenance activities, corrective troubleshooting on machinery and associated electrical/ electronic devices, equipment inspection and installation, equipment system performance improvement. Performs all work in accordance with company policies, procedures and regulations contained in company GMPS, safety standards, SOPs and housekeeping standards ECT.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: Responsible for mechanical/ electrical equipment repair and troubleshooting, process improvements, equipment changeovers, fabrication of machine parts on packaging machinery, as per training administered.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate competency on all requirements for Mechanic Level I, II
- Performs all work in accordance with company policies, procedures and regulations contained in company GMPS, safety standards, SOPs etc.
- Demonstrate competency in electrical safety.
- Performs minor machine shop work
- Demonstrates Master Mechanical-troubleshooting abilities, identifies and resolves issues utilizing systematic problem-solving methods specializes in ADD/BBV areas
- Describe and understand the components on the packaging equipment.
- Read and understand equipment and technical manuals.
- Changeover designated lines in the ADD/BBV Specialty Packaging areas.
- Performs equipment repairs and upgrades.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on designated equipment.
- Provide guidance, assistance and team leadership, and training to Mechanic Levels I and II in the performance of their duties.
- Maintains records and documentation as required.
- Maintains work area, tools and equipment in a clean and safe order. Provide guidance, assistance, leadership, and training to Mechanic Levels I and II in the performance of their duties.
- Exhibits flexibility acquired through training to be utilized at any position as needed in the company, or elsewhere in the facility, or as a trainer.
- Perform and Document all equipment Challenges that are list per MPI
- Demonstrate good documentation practices on mechanical setup logbooks
Materials:
Machine parts and assemblies, pipe and fittings, lubricants, solutions, electric / electronic devices, changeover parts as per training administered.
Tools and Equipment:
Various hand and power tools, machine shop equipment, electrical testing equipment as per training administered.
Reports to :
Mechanical Supervision
Supervises:
- Work independently with a minimum to none amount of supervision or direction or as part of a team or crew. Directs other personal as necessary in the course of their duties.
Education :
- A minimum requirement of six thousand (6,000) OJT hours and one hundred fifty (150) technical training hours. Or has previously trained and successfully completed an equivalent
Experience or Equivalent :
- Five (5+) years equivalent experience as a mechanic level II, with the equivalent technical training on ADD/BBV production lines.
