Journey level Painter

We are looking for Journey level Painters at PRST, you?ll support high end painting contractors in the Napa, Sonoma, Marin Counties. In the Painter role, you'll enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule. As a journeyman painter you will prepare and apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, both interior and exterior, residential and commercial. You will work with a range of tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, and sprayers, to achieve desired finishes and protect surfaces. You will also prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling imperfections. Note: The hourly rate for this position is $30 - $38 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Scraping: Removing dirt, loose paint, and other debris from surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of new paint.
• Sanding: Smoothing surfaces to create a uniform base for painting.
• Filling: Addressing imperfections like cracks and holes with appropriate fillers.
• Taping and Covering: Protecting areas not meant to be painted with tape, plastic Color
• Matching: Mixing paints and other materials to achieve specific colors and finishes.
• Applying Finishes: Using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to apply paint, varnish, and other coatings.
• Special Effects: May also be involved in techniques like wood graining or marbling.
• Inspecting: Ensuring a high-quality finish with no imperfections.
• Operating and Maintaining Equipment: Keeping painting tools and equipment in good working order, including sprayers, brushes, and ladders.
• Safety Procedures: Adhering to safety guidelines and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintaining Work Area: Keeping the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Operating Lifts and Scaffolding: Erecting and disassembling scaffolding or using lifts to reach higher areas

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 4yrs of residential or commercial painting experience
• Have reliable transportation to commute between job sites
• Have painting tools (Frames, Rollers, Drop Cloths Large and small, cut brush)
• Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs of equipment
• Drywall Repair/ Texture experience
