Structures Mechanic**
**Job Description**
As a Structures Mechanic, you will be responsible for the precise fabrication and installation of metal components in aircraft parts. This role includes working with flaps, slats, intakes, leading edges, and other related products. You will perform repairs, modifications, and installations of metal and composite structural components according to DA drawings, engineering dispositions, Dassault Aircraft Services, and government standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform structural repairs and alterations in compliance with FARs, manufacturer's technical publications, drawings, schedules, and FAA standards.
+ Manufacture form and molding blocks.
+ Fabricate sheet metal parts with flanges and contouring.
+ Produce and fabricate tooling and parts for repairing components or aircraft parts for MRO and SRC.
+ Lay out and form doublers, stringers, angles, channels, zee sections, and hat sections.
+ Fabricate, layout, drill, rivet, deburr, polish, and install parts.
+ Apply knowledge of close tolerances for interference fit fasteners.
+ Replace bearings and bushings as required.
+ Set up and operate heavy machine tools, including power brakes, drill press, and shears.
+ Execute tasks from drawings, SRM, sketches, or verbal instructions.
+ Complete daily tasks accurately and thoroughly.
+ Work safely following OSHA and company procedures, reporting any unsafe conditions.
+ Maintain a clean working area.
+ Complete work within allocated target hours and on schedule.
+ Occasionally fabricate and install Avionics STC systems, flight controls, and associated airframe systems.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
+ Maintain knowledge of current EPA regulations and applicable FARs.
+ Understand and comply with all employee work rules.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in sheet metal work.
+ Aircraft structural repair experience.
+ Ability to read and work from blueprints or sketches.
+ Familiarity with rivet and structure assembly.
+ FAA 'Airframe' license preferred.
+ Five years of structural repair experience or equivalent.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
+ Additional courses in structural repair and alteration work from a recognized service or technical school.
+ Candidates with prior military experience in the Air Force are a good fit.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $45.00/hr.
