Job Description The Engineering Project Coordinator provides essential project administration support across all Lines of Business (LOBs), ensuring efficient and effective management of project portfolios. This role demands a high level of personal integrity and teamwork, as well as a commitment to excellence in project coordination. Responsibilities
- Liaise with Client, Supervisors/Managers, and the Engineering Project Coordinators team to manage work intake, develop project scopes, and answer RFPs.
- Collaborate with Supervisors/Managers to establish project budgets and resource assignments.
- Ensure project estimates align with workload, tasks, resources, and estimating assumptions, while maintaining estimating tools.
- Oversee project portfolio for scope and change management, communicating changes in budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Analyze KPIs and metrics such as CPI, SPI, and burn rate to provide recommendations and resolve management issues.
- Work with Engineering Project Cost Analyst/Employee Support Associate to resolve timecard discrepancies.
- Coordinate and resolve project costing issues and administer project management processes.
- Share best practices across Engineering Project Coordinator teams in different office locations.
- Provide feedback to direct manager for evidence-based decision making.
- Perform additional tasks as needed based on business requirements.
- Experience with project tracking, analysis, status reporting, and documentation.
- Ability to multitask and coordinate projects effectively.
- Proficiency in project management, including managing budgets and scopes.
- Experience working with engineers or within an engineering group.
- Technical writing skills and high attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor for indirect interactions with customers.
- Associate's Degree.
- At least five years of experience in project coordination or management support functions.
- Thorough understanding of PMBOK project phases: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Control, and Project Closeout.
