Note: The hourly rate for this position is $30 - $32 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
- Hours, 5 X 8's
- Interpret and execute from blueprints, shop drawings, and layout specs
- Perform all phases of commercial carpentry, including layout, framing (metal/wood), drywall, doors, hardware, blocking, backing, drop ceilings, casework, and trim
- Install baseboards, crown molding, chair rails, door/window casings, wainscoting, and other trim components
- Hang and align solid-core doors, frames, and hardware with precision
- Use miter saws, coping tools, nailers, and levels to produce clean, consistent results
- Work independently or as part of a crew to deliver on-schedule, code-compliant finishes
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive worksite
Qualifications:
- Be able to complete and pass pre-employment screenings to work on a federal installation
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- 5+ years of verifiable carpentry experience (commercial or custom residential)
- Strong understanding of tools, materials, installation techniques, and tolerances
- Ability to read plans, elevations, and shop drawings
- Own tools of the trade and bring them to work daily
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to jobsite professionalism
