is seeking a Senior Power Systems Design Engineer to lead technical and
design efforts in developing custom generator sets. The role requires
expertise in generator control systems, switchgear, transfer switches,
communications, and power electronics. Responsibilities include
collaboration with various teams to design and engineer
customer-specific power systems, consulting with engineering resources,
researching proven technologies, and estimating design duration and
product costs. A sense of urgency for project completion and a
commitment to continuous improvement in engineering excellence are
essential. Specific Responsibilities \* Electrical design for generator
control integrations, including internal genset and ATS controls,
harnesses, and third-party electrical systems, managing integration
through commissioning. \* Provide technical support in the quoting
process for the Technical Solutions team on complex questions. \*
Support the National Accounts team in defining technical specifications.
\* Prioritize and manage custom engineering orders to ensure timely
completion aligned with committed generator delivery dates. \* Develop
moderately complex parametric components, assemblies, drawings, layouts,
and specifications with an understanding of manufacturing processes. \*
Share information cross-functionally to achieve process and diesel
generator set design goals. \* Collaborate with mechanical engineers and
designers to meet customer needs and integrate engineering specials
packages. \* Work with Purchasing and Buyers to ensure timely
procurement of necessary parts. \* Review and approve assigned custom
designs. \* Maintain project schedules, ensuring timely and high-quality
results while identifying and addressing design risks. \* Execute
changes or modifications based on sound business judgment. \* Initiate
and support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline internal
processes and enhance support systems. \* Provide technical leadership
to team members. \* Support sales efforts by preparing and presenting
technical presentations and white papers. \* Assist the field service
