Job Description
This role is responsible for leading Masterbrand's Premium Editing and Product Scheduling team, including overseeing the day-to-day processing of a daily production parts list, custom product quotes and custom prints. This role will require collaboration with cross functional teams to complete custom orders according to plan. Additional responsibilities to include assisting Customer Service in product questions, approval of nonstandard product requests and working with the release of production's daily bill of materials.
This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence at least 3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership for processing of custom product orders, cabinet pricing, and product changes by heavily collaborating with Product Development, Customer Service, and Operations. This includes the ability to meet order processing metrics and pursuing opportunities for error reduction.
Assist Operations in determining manufacturing processes, including assembly methods, construction techniques, material cost estimates, labor estimates, and tooling for custom product requests and product changes.
Identify, initiate, and execute value engineering and process efficiency projects through the premium product engineering network.
Monitor and maintain standard lead times and develop countermeasures as necessary.
Lead & facilitate daily management of Custom Solutions department.
Support the evaluation of product-related production problems and provide technical support on specifications, often working directly with customers and the Customer Service team.
Champion quality initiatives, troubleshooting, and consistently working toward error reduction.
Support the development of standardized customer facing documents.
Develop, document, audit standardized process.
Provide support to Quality, Operations and Customer Service for product related questions.
Help to establish organizational culture of continuous improvement, utilizing daily management, standard work, and A3 Thinking.
Other duties as may be assigned at management's discretion.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Manufacturing or a technical field is required; Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a technical field is highly preferred.
1+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Experience with AutoCAD required.
Experience with Microsoft office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Office, etc.
People leadership experience preferred, including exceptional team management and problem-solving skills.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects with tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starting, self-directing with limited supervision and foster teamwork.
Strong communication skills - listening, verbal, written and presentation.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
