(electronic and electromechanical) equipment and systems. Provides maintenance, repair, and modifications on high technology biomedical equipment. Represents Clinical Engineering as a member of appropriate hospital committees as needed.
Education Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Biomedical Electronics, Electronics, or Biomedical Engineering is required.
  • High School Diploma or Military training PLUS 3 years of biomedical electronics, electronic or biomedical engineering experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Bachelors degree in biomedical electronics, electronics, biomedical engineering, or related field is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • Five years of Biomedical Engineering experience is required.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technicians (CBET) is preferred.
  • Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) is preferred.
