FACILITIES SUPERVISOR - KEY WEST, FLORIDA

Position Summary:

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds, directing maintenance staff and overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Inspect Facilities: Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure the Bank buildings and grounds, including landscaping, parking, driveways and irrigation systems, remain in a safe and operational condition.
  • Schedule Maintenance: Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and assign tasks to maintenance staff, ensuring timely completion of projects. Conferring with other branch and department managers to coordinate activities.
  • Supervise Maintenance Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance technicians, fostering a productive work environment. Inspect technician repairs to ensure quality
  • Manage Repairs: Hire and supervise outside contractors for specialized installations or repairs, such as plumbing and electrical work.
  • Maintain Equipment: Have strong technical knowledge to monitor the status of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and ensure appropriate repairs and maintenance are conducted.
  • Budget Management: Contribute to the development and management of the maintenance budget, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness. Conduct annual contract review for all service subcontractors and oversee monthly utilities and service contractors billing review.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring necessary supplies are available for maintenance tasks.
  • Emergency Response: Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
  • Renovation Oversight: Overseeing renovation projects, waste reduction improvements, and safety inspections. Supervising structural repairs to buildings (masonry, woodwork and furnishings) including system conformance and efficiencies for electrical, plumbing, HVAC and cleaning of buildings. Inspecting work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and standards.
  • Responsibilities also include other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager

Competencies:

  • Contractor experience preferred to oversee properties, projects and strategic initiatives
  • Understanding machinery, repair techniques, and maintenance processes.
  • Physically able to lift and carry odd shapes and sizes of up to 50 pounds
  • Flexible and highly motivated team member
  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
  • Good communication skills to communicate with supervisor and staff

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Vocational, Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in maintaining commercial building
  • Experience in a supervisory position
  • Excellent driving record

Essential Job Functions:

Essential job functions include the employee occupying this position must have a valid driver's license and the ability to safely drive a Bank vehicle; and adhering to security procedures, being mindful

of their surroundings, and anticipate problems. The employee will be frequently lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and reaching 60 percent of the time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
