Job Description
Follow all health, safely, and environmental requirements; Perform cleanup duties; Perform material handling and storage duties; Identify, use, and care of common hand and power tools; Use and care of craft specific tools and equipment; Knowledge and application of craft related mathematics; Knowledge and use of safety standards and best safety practices relevant to rigging, Inspection of rigging equipment and hardware; Knowledge and application of common hitches, Emergency stop signal, Basic crane hand signals, Knot tying (bowline & clove hitch), and use of rigging equipment relevant to craft specific tasks; Operates concrete, asphalt, or sand and gravel plant to bathc, crush, or segregate materials used in construction. ; Reports to Paving Superintendent and Paving Engineer(s); responsible for the operation, maintenance, and record keeping of the concrete mixwer/batch plant.; Moves controls on panelboard or control board to heat, dry, mix ingrediensts, such as asphalt, sand, stone, and naphtha, to product asphalt paving materials, or to weigh and mix aggregates such as cement, sand, gravel, water, to produce concrete; or to control feeding, crushing and sifting machinery in a sand and gravel plant.; Operates and maintains the plant; assists with coordination od faily activites to include inventory and ordering of rock, sand, gravel, cement, and admixture for use in concrete and other mixes.; Manages controls to heat, cool, weigh and mox aggregate, cement and water to produce consistent and quality concrete.; Requires ability to assist in repair of machinery, using hand and/or power tools.; Ensures mixer is clean and continually remains in safe and efficient operating condition. ; Ensure concrete mixes meet 100% total quality requirements; complete all required reports timely and accurately; inform proper personnel of any quality problem requiring resolution; monitor batch plant cleanliness.; Requires thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment, method, and safety required; working computer knowledge, including applicable Microsoft software; batching concrete load according to specifications and loading trucks per regulations.; Requires excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to hadle multiple tasks ina face paced environment when bathc plant is in full operation.; Three to Five years concrete batching experience is preferred.; Experience operating heavy trucks a plus; CDL Class A or B and off road/dump truck experience is a plus.; All other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions: Work in extreme heat or cold; Work where noise level is above 85 decibels; Work in wet/humid environment; Work in cramped quarters; Work in environment of fluctuating ventilation; Work inside and outside
