Job Status: Full-Time Amount of Travel: 10 - 30% Position Summary Pioneer Technical Services is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer specializing in environmental to be based in one of our permanent Montana office locations depending on the experience and work location needs of the applicant. The position requires experience in multiple phases of environmental engineering consultation including the ability to market new work, prepare technical plans and specifications, manage project clients and design teams, and complete field inspection. The Senior Environmental Engineer will perform the following specific duties: Independently perform environmental engineering tasks including planning level designs, alternative analysis, preparation of sampling plans and construction plans specifications, and manage construction projects. Work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines within Pioneer, including structural, geotechnical, water resources, and civil. Conduct technical review and project management for engineering, deliverables, schedule, and invoices. Manage and mentor junior engineering staff. Prepare and review technical reports. Develop scopes of work and budget estimates for engineering projects. Perform environment construction observation. Assist with business development and proposal writing efforts. Skills & Abilities Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in Federal and State environmental regulations or related design work. Education: Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related. Registration: Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of Montana or have the ability to obtain registration in the state of Montana within 6 months of the date of hire. Computer Skills: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and have experience with environmental databases. Other Requirements: The ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team when solving complex, technical problems is essential. The job requires strong written skills, interpersonal skills, as well as flexibility and enthusiasm in performing a variety of tasks.
