Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Project Manager to lead and manage commercial and industrial HVAC projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and project management principles. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships. Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of HVAC projects for commercial and industrial clients, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
- Oversee installation of HVAC systems in facilities such as office buildings, manufacturing plants, warehouses, hospitals, and data centers.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure safety compliance, and resolve issues proactively.
- Prepare and manage project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout packages.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations (ASHRAE, OSHA, local building codes).
- Track project costs and manage budgets to ensure profitability.
- Lead project meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing commercial or industrial HVAC projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Certifications such as PMP, OSHA 30, LEED AP, or HVAC-specific certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Estimating experience.
