As a Foreperson at Ledcor, youll take charge of daily operations in a fast-paced Telecommunications Construction environment. Youll lead your crew to meet production goals while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include coordinating and overseeing heavy equipment onsite to support the installation and maintenance of fiber optic and other telecom infrastructure.

You bring strong analytical skills that help you accurately interpret, input, and analyze project data. Youre also a safety-first leader, ensuring full compliance with Ledcors Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) standards, OSHA regulations, and the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) for both employees and subcontractors. In this role, youll also mentor and guide less experienced operators, helping to build a stronger, more capable team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily construction activities on telecommunications job sites, ensuring crews stay on schedule and meet production goals
  • Coordinate the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment, maintaining compliance with all safety standards
  • Interpret and analyze project data to support accurate reporting and informed decision-making
  • Promote a culture of safety by enforcing Ledcor HS&E standards, OSHA regulations, and the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP)
  • Lead by example in maintaining a safe, productive, and environmentally responsible worksite
  • Mentor less experienced technicians, supporting team development through hands-on leadership and guidance

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); post-secondary education in construction management or a related field is a plus
  • Three or more years of experience in telecommunications construction, including supervisory or foreperson roles
  • Proven ability to operate and oversee heavy equipment, with a strong understanding of fiber optic installation and telecom infrastructure
  • Skilled in reading construction drawings and using project management tools to track progress and performance
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience enforcing health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) programs
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and support field crews
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record; OSHA 10 or 30, First Aid/CPR, and heavy equipment certifications are preferred

Work Conditions :

  • This is a site-based position that will require travel throughout the state of Washington
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and working in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)

Compensation

$28 - $35 USD Hourly

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
